Entry One
The purpose of this blog is to document the transition of Gold Creek Inn from its current use as a traditional bed & breakfast, to a museum housing the history of the Ladies of the Night - the pioneer prostitutes of the Gold Rush Era.
Gold Creek Inn's 1861 Victorian provides an ideal site for this collection as the walls of this ornamented residence once housed a thriving brothel.
This eventual museum will continue to lodge and dine guests, while concurrently sharing the colorful history of these racy señoritas with inn patrons.
